Hints from a former (and still sometimes) emo:

- If you know that something is wrong in your life, do something about it.
- Take time to do things that make YOU happy. You come first.
- If writing or talking helps, do it. Any true friend would be happy to listen.
- You need to be motivated to be not-emo. Otherwise you feel shitty for forcing yourself to snap out of being emo, thus making you more emo. The cycle never ends.
- COMEDY OPTION: Wear less black.
