Today after BDN Ali Hein and I went to the Rege for dinner. While we were eating, coding (yes, coding in a pub :p) and talking, the subject of a guy X who Hein doesn't like came up. Ali explained to him that this is because of a phenomenon known as personality clash, when you take a huge dislike to someone because essentially they are too similar to you.

I find this fascinating. While i was aware of the term 'personality clash' before, i thought it was just an unreasoning dislike for someone, as opposed to it being for a specific reason. And it makes me wonder about all the other people who i really don't like, whether its because i have a real reason to dislike them or whether its only because they reflect my own worst traits back at me?

It's definitely something to think about
