So... i was talking to Danny today and the question came up: how would society be different if conception was entirely voluntary?
For starters, there would most likely be a lot more casual sex going on in all relationships, since there'd be no chance of having an accident. I also wonder how Catholicism etc might be different since they wouldn't be fighting abortion (which has been around forever in the form of various herbs). Would they instead be urging us females to conceive as often as humanly or healthily possible?. After all, god did command us to go forth and multiply.. but they wouldn't have to fight over the whole concept of destroying souls when you abort or that god wanted the conception to happen.
And then there would also be no bastards unless the female wanted to have one.
Hmm, will perhaps edit this later after i think about it more. just a random topic to debate over for tonight since its been a while since i posted
