a near miss
May. 31st, 2006 11:01 pmSo this evening Alex and I were in his car driving up to meet Ali Hein and Zhe at Sugarplum, and just after we went through the intersection of Rainbow and Avoca St two cars crashed into eachother. If we'd gone through the intersection at a slightly different time it could have been us who got hit. The one that was hit went on to run into the telegraph pole that was in the middle of the intersection, the one that ran the red light ended up stopped half on top of the kerb of Rainbow.
We got out and made sure they were both ok, about 10 other people had the same idea, and a tow truck showed up within a minute or so. Kind of restores my faith in humanity I guess. They were both fine other than the shock, although both cars were write-offs. The one whose fault it was acknowledged this and eventually stumbled over to the other woman to apologise.
Needless to say Alex and I were both slightly jumpy and paranoid the whole trip home
