a question

Most of the monotheistic religions hold that there's nothing wrong with being homosexual as long as you don't act on it, since you can't help the way God created you. So.. could a similar argument be applied to paedophilia? Bestiality? Other deviant sexual practices? Where exactly should the line be drawn?

And in other news, I'm feeling very bleh tonight. No one is talking to me and I'm not attempting to talk to them. I can always tell when I'm entering a depressive kind of mood because I find myself thinking about how much I hate my life. Even though there isn't really anything wrong with it at the moment. Just feeling alone again I guess.

A thought experiment

How would society be different if there was no religious concept of marriage at all? If there was no formal ceremony of monogamy blessed by the powers that be and so forth..
