erratioA conversation from yesterday
Alex: So yeh, I want to go on a holiday some time soon because basically for the last year and a half I haven't been doing anything except uni and working.
Alex: And neither have you.
Jen: Yeh? *is waiting for the point to be made*
Alex: ...
Jen: *realises that that was the point*
Jen: See, this is what I mean when I talk about the difference between Introverted and Extroverted. You Extroverts are always all like "What are you doing at home, let's go out and do something!" Whereas us Introverts are more like "Yay, home".
Jen: Also, I wasn't doing nothing in that time, I was making board games and stuff!
Alex: *looks at me in disbelief*
Alex's (and other extroverted friends') continual drive to get people together and do social stuff reminds me way too much of this xkcd comic
And then I always have this conflict between wanting to go out with them lest I miss something, and doing what I actually want to do, which is stay home and chill out.
Sometimes I think solitude is an addiction which I let myself indulge in way too much. But then I think, stupid society for making me think that living inside my head a lot is a bad thing..
